It's been a while since I updated my blog.  I haven't been very productive for a while as I got a bit disheartened when my delivery went missing earlier this month.

I was looking forward to playing with the new stamps and papers I had ordered when my anticipation got iced.  I arrived home expecting a parcel to be waiting, as the tracking said it was delivered, but there was no parcel on the door step.  Anger, frustration, more anger but enquiries failed to find the missing parcel.

Thanks to CTMH it's all sorted now and I can begin to play again.  I will share the first thing I did from my order.  Below are the 10 completed Christmas cards from the cut above kit I got.  Very quick and fun to make when you only have a little time to play.

I turned half int landscape cards for a bit of variety.

I also made a card for my dear husband for Father's day and a birthday card for my Granddaughter.

For Frank's Card I used Brushed card stock, Chalk It Up card stock, Chalk It Up complements, Wild about love stamp and Delightful Ditty stamp.

For my Granddaughter Jessie's card I used things totally from my stash.  Here are some more of those flower stickers I have been using lately, daffodils this time.  The trellis is a card overly cut on the Cricut.

I have also spent some time reorganising my room.  It's not very big but a repurposed bookshelf laid in it's side at the back of my table has given me more places to store the things I need in easy reach.  No doubt there will be other changes made as I can.  Meantime this is working quiet well for now.

Next time I plan to share some pages with you as most of my blog is full of cards so far.

Till next time, keep creating and please leave a comment, I appreciate reading anything you have to say.

Since my last entry there have been frustrating times with my internet.  I have been having trouble getting on and when I do it's only for a short time.  Thankfully today it seems improved so I will take the opportunity to show you the latest cards I have made.

I made this thank you card for Sue who kindly provided me with the August stamp of the month "what a hoot"  The third photo shows the products I used to make it and the papers I used were from Chalk it up.

This card was made from my stash for a friends birthday.  I always like black ,white and red together.

While looking through the news feed on face book earlier in the week I saw a post from a father asking as many people as possible to send cards from all over Australia for his daughter's birthday.  His daughter Hannah turns 18 in September and is a special your lady with downs syndrome.  Her loving father wants to make her birthday as special as possible.  How can you not respond to such a request.  So here is the card I made and will post tomorrow.  I also have another card to make for a similar request from the U.S.A. I will share it when it's made.

I used Close To My Heart Honeycomb embossing folder for the white background, your own kind of wonderful stamp D1637, Perfect fir birthday occasions B1417, Brushed scrapbooking workshop stamp, the workshop set is G1087.  I used sweet leaf and Thistle pigment inks and embossed with clear embossing powder, both these colours are in the Whimsey set Z2504.  The flowers, green card behind the Joy stamp and ribbon are from my stash.  I love this card, it turned out very pretty.

Please leave a comment, let me know if you are enjoying these posts.  I would like any advice on how to improve what I share.

Until next time I leave you with this quote from Ann Frank,
How wonderful is it that nobody need wait a single
moment before starting to improve the world."

Happy crafting friends, each time you give a card you improve the world for one person and one person at a time is how we improve the world.

<a href="http://sallystamper.ctmh.com" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://download.closetomyheart.com/badges/1407-ai-blog-badge-confetti-wishes.gif" /></a>

Today, thanks to Sue Martin, I got the stamp of the month "what a hoot".  So! I finished the card I had been working on and put aside till I had the stamp.

Unfortunately I can't remember what the fold I have used is called.

I have decorated this first card with "Chalk it up" paper, the sentiment is from the "Ivy Lane card making workshop" stamp set.

The flower is made with the owl wing from "What a hoot" stamped with Smoothie ink and coloured with pens.  I also put some glitter radiating out from the centre of the flower.

The leaves are the alternative wing stamped in Pear.  The small flowers on the sides of the card, also stamped in Smoothie, are from SOTM as well.

This card was intended to be a gather make and take but I think it's a little labor intensive for that purpose.  Back to the drawing board tomorrow for another one.

The second card is also for a make and take and is quick and easy to make.  I used brushed papers for this one.  The decorations are done with the September SOTM "Family is forever".

The fold is a crossover pocket card with tag.  There is a small stand on the back that folds flat for posting.

I would like to leave you with this quote.

"Far away there in the sunshine of my highest aspirations. I may not reach them,
but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them,
and try to follow where they lead."

Louisa May Alcott.

In the absence of something new to show you I thought I would share a mini album I made from Picture My Life cards and washy tape.  This is the easiest and fastest mini album you can make and it was fun to do.  Simply select the cards you wish to use, washy tape them together into a book, add photos, journaling and decorations and wallah! all done.

Thursday I am home all day so will be starting on the birthday cards for September.  Three to make, two for granddaughters and one for a brother in law.
Until next time friends remember, You are an unrepeatable miracle.

Today I thought I would put up a few old projects as I haven't made anything new in the last 24 hours.  I have been making all the birthday cards for the family this year so have a few to share.  It's alway interesting to look at past projects and see how different everything we do is.  I am not one for making lots of the same card, mostly I make one off cards so everyone get an exclusive one.   There is one I might reproduce though because I love it so much.  Mind you it will have to be with different paper but generally the same, as in black and white.  I made it for a friend's 40th birthday, the party was black and white themed.

This next one is similar in layout and of course it's a 6" x 6" which is my preferred size. I used Balloon Ride card stock and flourish.  This one went to my daughter in law in NZ.

This next one is one I made at the recent camp I went too, I just love this one and it was fun to make.  I will be making many more using this idea, as in pop up card, when I make cards for the grandchildren.
So many possibilities.   This is paper from my stash and was a special earlier this year, no longer available, I love the colours and the feather made a perfect sentiment carrier to pop up off the front of the card.  I haven't  sent this one to anyone as I am keeping it for display when I do classes.

This next one was made over a year ago, very early days CTMH the only things I had were the bits I got at the launch night so most of the materials were from my stash.  The heart is a wood die cut stamped with ctmh flourish in desert sand ink.

Another from my stash, made for a granddaughter, gate fold card.  One of my favourites.

Yet another family birthday card.  Its hard to remember who I made them for now but another one I like.

Are you bored yet, just a couple more, promise.  I will give more instructions with future projects these old ones are hard to remember.

Now this one I can tell you about the stamping technique I used.  I stamped the flourish and balloon images with VersaMark ink which is a clear ink for embossing over.  I then embossed with clear embossing powder and using a dauber to lightly rubbed the colour over it.  The coloured ink doesn't take on the clear embossed image so it makes it stand out well.  I like this effect.

Last one for now! I was pleased with this one and loved colouring it in.  Once again bits from my stash.  The medallion was cut out with my Cuttelbug.

That's enough for today friends, so until next time be happy and have fun crafting.

Thursday 14 August 2014

Today I planned to do many things but as usual there were many interruptions and not much was achieved.  I was about to begin this, my first box card when we had a surprise visit from relative from New Zealand.  It was lovely to see them though and I don't begrudge the time spent having a cup of coffee and a chat.

Eventually I got started on the card only to be interrupted again to cook dinner, eat and then go out to music practice at church.  Fortunately our practice was done and dusted by 8.30 so I was able to finish this when I got home.

I have been wanting to make one of these for ages and our daughters birthday in ten days was a good opportunity.  So here is the finished product.  I am pleased with the result and it will be in the post tomorrow.

Until next time, live, laugh, love.

Introduction

This blog is for me to share my thoughts and achievements as I create wonderful things with CTMH products.  I have so much fun making things and doing pages for the many photos I take of family, friends and places and want to share it with as many as are interested.

Just two week ago I attended a week end camp with a group of very creative ladies and here are three of the many things I made during that weekend.  Top left is a stamping technique I learned, top right is a quilt pattern card which I also did a scrap book page of.  In fact this pattern went viral at the camp and everyone made a page and a card.  They all looked so different made in lots of different paper selections.  Left is a gift bag I copied off Norma late on Saturday night, we were the last ones to bed, dare I say at 2.30 in the morning.  I will share some of the other things in a day or two as it's getting rather late.

Another creative interest I have is patchwork and quilting and I will share some of the things I have sewed as well.

I have a large family full of beautiful people and there is nothing better than spending time with them and capturing the spacial times we have together.   So look out for photos and stories from my house to yours.

As it is now 12.30pm I had better take myself off to bed!  Why do I decide to do things like create a blog late at night.  Ah well, thats another part of me, I'm a night owl.

Until next time friends, enjoy life and create something, or learn something new every day.
